Sheet Mask Vs Face Mask: What’s the Difference?

We all know what a face mask is, in fact, most women around the world will make good use of regular face mask treatment, yet many do not yet know about sheet masks, and with that in mind, here is a brief description of both treatments, along with their benefits.

Sheet Mask

The sheet mask manufactory process (known as โรงงานผลิตแผ่นมาร์คหน้า in the Thai language) involves creating a thick and absorbent fabric, onto which is soaked a serum that contains hyaluronic acid and many essential minerals and vitamins. When the mask is applied to the face and left on for about 20 minutes, this results in the nutrients seeping into the deep layers of the skin. Sheet mask treatment is very effective, and is largely popular in the west, thanks to a few Hollywood celebrities praising sheet masks on social media sites. The treatment was invented by the Japanese and adopted by South Korea, and within a few years, the treatment spread across Asia, with many women enjoying the benefits of this inexpensive skin nourishing treatment.

Early Morning Treatment

By applying the sheet mask when you first wake up, it can be removed just prior to applying your make-up, and as there’s no need to rinse off, you can dry your skin and immediately apply your make-up. Of course, there are varying levels of quality with sheet masks, and the better ones use a thicker fabric that keeps the serum from evaporating, allowing more to enter the skin.

Face Mask Treatment

The face mask has different objectives, which include deep cleansing the skin, and helping to prevent acne and other skin issues. If, for example, you want to exfoliate your skin, then a good quality face mask will do the trick, and they are excellent for a deep clean, although a face mask does not in any way nourish the skin, which is the main difference between the two. Both sheet and face mask treatments can be used in conjunction to always keep your skin healthy, in fact many women use both on a regular basis. While you would use a face mask every evening, every few days is all you need with a sheet mask treatment, as it is mainly a nourisher.

Nourishment and Hydration

The moisture within the serum does hydrate the skin when you use a sheet mask, and when looking at products, check out some online reviews before buying, as some treatments use a very thin mask, and this allows a lot of the serum to evaporate. There are online suppliers of sheet mask treatments, so getting hold of a pack is never an issue, and with a weekly soak, your skin will always have that healthy glow.

Now that you know the difference, it is important to remember that both sheet and face masks offer benefits, one giving nourishment, while the other deep cleanses. Stock up with both and your skin can handle the daily rigours that modern living involves, and regular use will make your skin look younger.
